• • Player profile details — USTA rating, gender, phone number, and preferred courts (all provided by you)
• • Match activity — challenge history, match scores, and ranking changes
• • Device tokens — if you opt into push notifications, we store a token so your device can receive alerts
• • Basic usage data — login timestamps and session info to keep things running smoothly

2How We Use It

• • Running the ladder — displaying rankings, processing challenges, and tracking match results
• • Notifications — sending you push alerts when someone challenges you, accepts a match, or reports a score
• • Email updates — letting you know about challenge activity, results, and important ladder announcements via Gmail
• • Keeping things fair — monitoring for rating accuracy and resolving disputes

That's it. We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything creepy.

3Third-Party Services

We rely on a handful of trusted services to keep Match Point running:

• • Supabase — handles our database and user authentication
• • Google — powers the "Sign in with Google" option so you don't need yet another password
• • Vercel — hosts the website itself

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone — period.

4Cookies & Local Storage

• • We use cookies and local storage only to keep you logged in between visits
• • These are session/auth tokens managed by Supabase — nothing fancy
• • We don't use tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or any third-party ad trackers
• • No sneaky fingerprinting either — your browser is your business

5Your Data Rights

• • Want a copy of your data? Just ask — we'll get you an export
• • Want everything deleted? We can remove your account and all associated data
• • Want to update your info? You can edit your profile anytime from the app

6Data Security

• • All connections to Match Point are encrypted over HTTPS
• • Passwords are hashed — we never store or see them in plain text
• • Database access is locked down with row-level security policies
• • We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information

No system is bulletproof, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

7Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For anything major, we'll do our best to give you a heads-up. But it's a good idea to check back here once in a while.
