1What Match Point Is
- • Match Point is a free, community-run tennis ladder for players in Ahmedabad, Gujarat
- • We're not a company or a business — just folks who love tennis and wanted a better way to organize matches
- • We provide the platform to track rankings, challenges, and results — you bring the racquet and the competitive spirit
- • There's no fee to join, no premium tier, no catch. It's free because we built it for ourselves too
2Your Account
- • One account per person — no duplicates, no alt accounts
- • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If someone else uses your account, that's on you
- • Keep your profile info accurate — your name, USTA rating, and contact details should reflect reality
- • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
3Fair Play
- • Be honest about your USTA rating — sandbagging ruins it for everyone
- • Report match scores accurately and promptly after playing
- • Treat your opponents with respect, on and off the court
- • Don't manipulate the system — no colluding on results, no intentional tanking, no gaming the rankings
- • If something feels off about a result, use the dispute process instead of taking matters into your own hands
4Content You Submit
- • When you submit match scores, profile info, or feedback, that content belongs to you
- • By posting it on Match Point, you give us permission to display it on the platform — things like your name on the ladder, match history, and rankings
- • We won't sell your content or use it for anything outside of running the ladder
- • Don't submit anything offensive, misleading, or that violates someone else's rights
5What We're Not Responsible For
- • Injuries that happen during matches — tennis is physical, and you play at your own risk
- • Scheduling conflicts between players — we give you the tools, but coordinating is up to you
- • Court availability or conditions at any facility — we don't own or operate any courts
- • Disputes between players that go beyond match scores
- • By participating, you acknowledge these risks. For full details, refer to the liability waiver you accepted during sign-up
6Account Removal
- • We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account at our discretion
- • Reasons include but aren't limited to: unsportsmanlike behavior, harassment, dishonest score reporting, or abuse of the platform
- • If your account is removed, your ranking and match history may be deleted
- • You can also delete your own account at any time — no hard feelings
7The Platform
- • Match Point is provided "as is" — we do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't promise 100% uptime
- • We may update, modify, or temporarily take down the platform for maintenance without prior notice
- • We're not liable for any data loss, though we do our best to keep everything backed up
- • Features may change over time as we improve the platform based on community feedback
8Governing Law
- • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Gujarat, India
- • Any disputes arising from the use of Match Point will be resolved under Gujarat jurisdiction
9Changes to These Terms
- • We may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves
- • When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- • Continued use of Match Point after changes means you accept the updated terms
- • If we make a major change, we'll do our best to give you a heads-up
